Tzav: The Aftermath of Purim and the Final Battle (March 23, 2019) (3/23/2019 Part 1)

1) This is only a respite.
They still have an insurance policy.
There is a final battle that lies ahead of us.

It’s BibleStudyCoffeeTime.
Shabbos, March 23, 2019
2) Mahatma Gandhi (not a nice person IRL, I know) said:
“God has no religion.”
And he was right.
3) But there definitely is a God, and the Bible is sacred to all monotheistic faiths, because it is God’s Word.
4) The Bible contains 7 commandments that Jews consider universal – the basis of all other law.

–6 are prohibitions–
* idolatry
* blasphemy
* murder
* adultery
* robbery
* eating from a live animal

–1 is an imperative–
* establish a judicial system

5) One who keeps the 7 Noahide laws is considered a righteous gentile.
6) In the End of Days, not all of the Jews will be saved.
The righteous gentiles will all be saved.
7) Why will God only save a few Jews?
8) Because many betrayed Him & turned instead toward their enemies.

“20 In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.”

9) This is the phenomenon of the self-hating Jew, and also the Jew who simply falls by the wayside into lust, greed, etc.
10) Isaiah 10:22 – “Destruction is decreed.”
11) Isaiah 10:21-22 – “a remnant will return”

“21 A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. 22 For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return.”
12) I know that Isaiah 53 refers to God’s suffering servant. Jews interpret this servant to mean the body of the faithful Jewish people, while Christians interpret it to mean Jesus. My intention here is only to present the Jewish perspective.

13) “The Torah maintains that the righteous Gentiles of all nations (those observing the Seven Laws of Noah, listed below) have a place in the World to Come.”

(You can read more about this topic here.)

14) The essence of a righteous Gentile is President @realDonaldTrump @POTUS.

(I have previously argued that he may be Jewish because I do believe he is the Mashiach ben Yosef, but that is not proven.)
17) The Purim holiday just passed, and my husband wrote a blog post about the deeper meaning of @POTUS declaring Jewish sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

18) President Trump interceded on behalf of the Jews – before the entire world.
20) This week’s Bible reading, supplemental portion (Jeremiah 7:24), condemns evil Jews like this.

“But they did not obey nor did they incline their ear, but walked according to [their] own counsels and in the view of their evil heart, and they went backwards and not forwards.”
22) Megillas Esther (the Scroll of Esther) notes that Esther’s outing of Haman’s plot was not enough to save the Jews.

23) If you read the text, God’s intervention came in the form of the king favoring Esther.

He saw Haman imploring Esther, and took it the wrong way, and Haman (and his sons) were hanged on their own gallows (built to kill Jews).
24) If you read the Scroll of Esther, the Jews still had to go to war against the Persians, because despite Haman’s hanging, there was a decree against them, and there was no choice about this.
25) I don’t know what is written on that decree today.
I do know that we are in some way jeopardized by what is written on it.
And that a battle lies ahead which will be very dangerous.
May God save us.
May He have mercy on all who are righteous.

(End.)
