Here is an example of a word that needs to be read in context and used properly, but which is misused.
In the Bible (Numbers 24:20) the diviner Balaam—who took money to curse the Israelites but wound up blessing them instead—said: “Amalek was the first among nations [‘goyim’ in Hebrew], and his fate shall be everlasting destruction.”
The word “goyim” is the plural of “goy” and refers to the evil nations of the world, who practiced sorcery and witchcraft, who had ritual prostitutes and sacrificed children, and who worshiped Baal/Moloch.
It does not refer to Christians.
The nations of the world—unless they followed God—were disconnected from the Divine, our life force, and so in the end times Balaam says (with Biblical endorsement) that there will be nothing left of them. They will simply evaporate.

By doing so, the Christians saved the nations from destruction.
In fact, anyone, of whatever religion or no particular religion, who brings God to the people of the world is saving those people’s lives, in a very literal way.
